Relaxation with Guided Visualisation
Many of us find everyday life stressful and don't take sufficient 'me' time. Guided visualisation allows you to deeply relax, take a little time for yourself and you can take that sense of peace away with you into your everyday life.
I will talk you through a body relaxation and an imaginary journey, usually in nature, to a calm and peaceful place. You will find that your body responds to the 'story' as though it is real. This reduces stress and improves your sense of well-being. In time, you will be able to do this for yourself using a recorded visualisation; but it is easier to learn this in a group setting first. It also teaches you how to meditate, as you will be left in your 'peaceful place' for a few minutes in silence in each guided visualisation. Your brain eventually recognises this process and goes to its peaceful place readily when you are on your own.
