This training day is for counsellors and other talking therapists to learn about the actions of prescribed drugs in treating depresion and anxiety and how that can and does affect the counselling process.

In this workshop, you will learn how the drugs work in the system, which will be explained throughly by Camilia Flomen, a pharmacist who has been working in mental health for over 20 years.

You will also learn how this presents in the client and how to maintain a therapeutic working relationship while the client adjusts to going onto, or coming off of medication. This will be explained by Vivienne Costello, a counsellor who specialises in depression, anxiety and OCD and who also has trained and worked as a pharmacy technician until three years ago
