Level 3 certificate in counselling skills
This is the second of the three courses you need to undertake if you wish to train as a professional counsellor and builds on the skills and knowledge obtained in the Level 2 Award. This course is also ideal for those wanting to enhance their use of counselling skills in their current helping professional role.
What is involved in the course?
The course will provide further understanding of:
- What is meant by counselling and counselling skills
- Ethical practice for counsellors
- The environment in which counselling takes place
- The importance of clinical supervision
- Different therapeutic models of counselling
- The counselling process
- Personal development, growth and self-awareness
The one-year programme will run on Thursday from 9.30am until 2.30pm, along with two Saturday workshops.
Assessments
You will be assessed using various means including written assignments, a weekly reflective journal and observed practice.
Cost
£1,150 for the one year, including registration fees. This is payable in full or by means of a £150 deposit and 10 monthly payments of £100 by standing order.
Additional costs
Reading books and stationery.
Dates
Mandatory induction day: Thursday 6th September 2018, 9.30am – 12.30pm.
Course commences: Thursday 13th September 2018, 9.30am – 2.30pm
Entry requirements
Level 2 counselling qualification or relevant work experience.
All candidates will need to attend a personal interview and evidence of previous training.
