Introduction To Mindfulness Workshop

This two-hour workshop offers a practical introduction to mindfulness. You will learn what mindfulness is, and explore how it can help you deal with stress, anxiety, negative thoughts and difficult emotional patterns. We will practice mindfulness meditation under guidance, and you will learn some simple techniques to reduce tension and relax for you to use in daily life. There will be time to ask questions and for discussion.

What is Mindfulness Meditation?

Mindfulness is the practice of open and nonjudgmental awareness in the present moment. Research shows that regular meditation fosters physical and emotional health and well-being. It strengthens the immune system, helps reduce stress and anxiety, stimulates attention and focus, reduces our experience of pain, enhances creativity, cultivates compassion, improves productivity and increases performance to mention but a few benefits.
