Introduction to compassion-focused therapy (CFT)
Who is this workshop for?
Counsellors, psychotherapists, trainee clinical and counselling psychologists, assistant psychologists and newly qualified therapists unfamiliar with this approach to therapy.
This workshop does not require previous experience of CFT.
- To understand CFT model and how to utilise it in therapy.
- To learn about how CFT can help with clients' shame and self-criticism.
Workshop will entail didactic teaching, small group work and individual
At the end of the workshop participants will understand CFT model and how
to utilise CFT in therapy, alongside basic CFT skills.
Note - this is not an accredited course, however this is ideal if you have
an interest in this area or are looking to branch out into this field.
This day will be led and facilitated by Dr Jana Jenkins (BSc Hons, PsychD, CPsychol).
About the host
Dr Jenkins has extensive experience in adult mental health, trained by Professor Paul Gilbert and Dr Deborah Lee in compassionate-focused therapy (CFT).
Dr Jenkins is a chartered clinical psychologist and a clinical director of Key Therapy Associates Limited. An associate fellow of the British Psychological Society.
