Grandmothers Saturday workshops
Lauraine Leigh works effectively with families and their difficulties. With colleague Lili Levy she runs 2 new and unique workshops in Hampstead, London, on March the 1st and April the 5th, offering a safe space for grandmothers of all ethnicities and with a range of joys and difficulties to come and relax, share, feel supported by each other and be empowered.
Sometimes family difficulties can include difficult relationships with grandparents; sometimes grandparents can help; sometimes grandmothers can, maybe quite unwittingly, make family life for their adult children difficult. Lauraine and Lili know about this, not only because of their work, but from personal experience too as grandmothers. So they've an awareness of both hats. Grandmothers will share their experiences through story, using aspects of dramatherapy, sharing the difficulties and the joys of their role. We haven't seen space being offered in this way before, and we aim to provide a safe space for relaxing, playing and thinking.
We've worked with many families; run many groups, each of us, and we have passion for this work, hopefully to enable more comfortable family relationships for all 3 generations. Parenting can be so difficult now in pressured times.
It's essential to book these workshops.
