Evidence based practice and reflective practice
How do you know your clients are improving?
What method(s) do you use to track change?
Evidence based practice is fundamental to the therapeutic process. Outcome, monitoring and routine evaluation is common parlance in counselling yet, it can be challenging for the practitioner. As part of the evidence based practice approach, being a reflective practitioner is essential and sits at the heart of therapy, as it not only promotes ethical practice but can facilitate therapist personal and professional development.
This workshop will define key concepts, highlight the various ways in which reflective practice is enhanced, which includes the role of research, supervision and evidence based practice methods. The workshop will be a combination of teaching and interactive discussion.
