Mindfulness has been defined as:

"The awareness that emerges through paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgementally, to things as they are." - Williams, Teasdale, Segal and Kabat-Zinn (2007)

Training in mindfulness allows us to recognise the "gap" between our thoughts, feelings, sensations and our awareness of them, providing us with the choice to react to them in a wiser, kinder way. Perhaps seeing that no reaction at all is necessary as we choose to simply be present in a truly authentic and embodied way, resting in our awareness as our thoughts, feelings and sensations come and go like clouds in the sky of our mind. By learning to simply be, we can disengage the "automatic pilot" which often drives our lives and have our mind serve us in the best possible way, rather than have us be the servants of our often reactive and wandering minds.

Mindfulness is a life-skill that anyone can benefit from connecting with and training in. Whether it is to help with:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • chronic pain
  • life's stresses
  • general well-being
  • deepening our mindfulness meditation practice

Or exploring the dimensions of our mind and the experience of what it means to be a human being, enabling us to find more peace in an often frantic world.

These courses will provide you with the opportunity to learn a combination of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction/Cognitive Therapy techniques that can be easily integrated into your daily life. The courses can help you learn how to let go of the busy mind and bring more presence, heartfulness and acceptance to life while cultivating the awareness and heart to act in a way that best serves ourselves and others.

Eight week course: 7th October - 25th November: Wednesdays, 7:00pm - 9:00pm

(Including a silent retreat day on the 29th November)
