United Therapies 24th January 2017 with Natasha Sephton (drama therapist, Lifespan Integration therapist, creative clinical supervisor).

Connecting ego states through time and space - the importance of working with the body/mind system using Lifespan Integration.

For the past five years Lifespan Integration therapy, or LI as it’s known, has offered me a profound way of working with my clients that has revolutionized my practice.

LI works to improve and heal mental health, focusing on the body and mind simultaneously. It restores integration of self through connecting fragmented parts or split off ego states through time to the current self. It does this without retraumatising, through well attuned therapists in a directive way. LI successfully treats early years trauma, attachment disruption, big T and little T traumas, abuse (especially neglect), and relationship difficulties.

As a drama therapist, I was drawn to Lifespan Integration due to the way it uses active imagination, body mindfulness, attunement and neural biology. It connects one’s self, to oneself through a highly effective, swift and focused process.

In this talk, I shall be explaining how LI works and in particular, focusing on the importance of working with the body and the nervous system to help heal trauma without re-traumatising.
