This course starts on Tuesday 5 June and runs on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm to 9.00pm for 5 weeks.

What is the course about?

An opportunity to explore contemporary developments of the Person-Centred Approach, beyond the work of Carl Rogers and to consider their relevance to person-centred practitioners and diploma level trainees.

What topics will we cover?

Elements of the structure and content of the course will be negotiated with the group. Topics which might be considered and explored include:

Relational Depth
Configurations of Self
Person-centred psychopathology
Fragile/Disassociated Process
Plural self.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

Describe major theoretical developments within the Person-Centred Approach
Consider their relevance to current person-centred practice.
Evaluate how contemporary developments fit/do not fit with Rogers’ original theory.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This course is aimed at practising person-centred counsellors or diploma trainees who would like to explore the contemporary developments of the person-centred approach in more depth.
