A Certificate in Supervision - "Developing & Enabling the Supervisor Within" (60 hours CPD) endorsed by BACP

10 Saturdays (9.30 to 4.30pm) Starting January 2012 to July 2012

A BACP endorsed supervision training aimed at qualified and experienced counsellors/psychotherapists who wish to develop a professional, ethical framework of supervision.

The course will be Person-Centred in orientation and delivery, but will encourage participants to develop their own individual supervision style which has a solid base of values and beliefs, taking into account ethical responsibilities.

During the course participants will:

  • Examine a variety of theoretical models/philosophies of supervision
  • Develop a good understanding of the ethical roles & responsibilities of a supervisor
  • Explore a variety of themes relevant to professional practice & their relevance to supervision
  • Explore values & beliefs in relation to supervision & supervising
  • Develop an individual framework for their supervision practice
  • Develop their practice through co, and peer, supervision
