Further Details:

The aim of assertiveness training is to give you an understanding of the behaviours which are more likely to achieve what you want and need in life without infringing on the rights of others to get what they want and need. Through learning about different types of behaviour and practicing assertive behaviour the training aims to increase your range of responses to different situations. From past courses people have told us that practicing assertive behaviours helps their confidence and self-esteem. Our aim is for you to find your own strengths, grow in confidence and value yourself.

We use different methods including theoretical input, group discussions, group exercises and some practice.

Coffee, cakes and a light lunch (of soup, bread, cheese and cake are included for all training days)

The courses are held in Trewidland, which is mid-way between Liskeard and Looe.  There is easy car-parking or lifts can be arranged to and from Liskeard Station.

Short One Day course.   Cost: £25 per person.  Learning includes what it means to be assertive and how it is different from being passive or aggressive and we discuss some of the myths surrounding these. We include some quick fix methods for dealing with some common difficult situations.  To apply, please apply via my website (www.resolutionscounselling.co.uk/assertiveness-training/)  and we will send you our application form that you can print out and return.

Next Course date for a Short One Day course on SATURDAY 25th FEBRUARY 2012
