An introductory workshop to person-centred art therapy skills
'The image is a message to yourself from yourself, to whichever part is listening.’ Perls
The aim of this workshop is for participants to be introduced to the person-centred philosophy underpinning creative techniques and to person-centred art therapy skills (PCATS) developed by Liesl Silverstone.
This is an experiential workshop and during the day you will be able to create and explore your individual images using different media, experience practising using the initial person-centred art therapy skills through facilitation of another person’s image, gain personal insight from the images you create, reconnect with your creativity and be introduced to an alternative form of communication for working with clients.
Pam Dean - who will be facilitating the day - is an experienced therapist and has extensive knowledge of working with person-centred art therapy skills.
This will be a ‘hands on’ experiential day and comfortable clothes are recommended!
CPD certificates will be available on the day.
Refreshments including hot and cold drinks and biscuits are provided. Please bring a contribution for a shared lunch.
