Saturday 24th  March 2012

9.30 am – 4.30 pm

Cost:  £88.00

Trainer:  Graeme Armstrong

This workshop is designed to introduce counsellors to the techniques of delivery, pitfalls and therapeutic approaches of couple counselling.  Participants will explore what couple counselling is, and what it is not, supported by sessions of a DVD of in Treatment and an imaginary couple who, session by session, disclose more about themselves and their relationships.

Participants will be introduced to the use of genograms in couple counselling and will be offered examples of the types of problems encountered in the work of couple counselling including: transference; counter transference; collusion; triangulation; stuckness and burn out.

This workshop encourages participants to explore, from their own and others chosen modalities (and/or life experience) a range of hypotheses around casework.

Note: participation in this workshop does not certify that the delegate is trained in couple counselling

This is an interactive workshop which includes role play designed to build on participant’s current experience and knowledge, providing 6 hours of CPD.
