Day one: the clinical use of early recollections

In the morning of the first day of this workshop participants will learn a method of interpreting early recollections to understand a client’s beliefs and private logic. The afternoon will be used to understand the metaphorical significance in these chosen memories and how they relate to the client’s present situation.

Educational objective one: participants will learn how to gather and interpret early recollections.

Educational objective two: Participants will learn to assess the metaphorical significance in early recollections.

Day two: substance use and reorientation

From an Adler/Dreikurs perspective participants will learn how private logic formulates the psychological underpinnings and purposefulness of substance use issues thereby influencing daily living and movement toward a goal. Reorientation/change history work allows for flexibility and conscious choice in lifestyle decisions and behaviours.

Educational objective one: participants will learn how private logic influences substance use issues.

Educational objective two: participants will learn reorientation and change work.

Hosted by Elaine Parker

I have been hosting Adlerian workshops at Treberfedd Farm since 2014. These are intended to promote the understanding of Alfred Adler's individual psychology, and his ideas of social interest and contribution, as well as the courage to address the difficulties of life. They are open to anyone interested in Adler, and to therapists for CPD.
