All about panic disorder and how to help
Who is the course for?
This workshop will suit any helper, counsellor, health professional, teacher, youth worker, adoption or fostering worker or anyone who would like a better understanding of panic disorders and panic attacks.
Aims of course:
Following completion of this day you will:
- Have a clear understanding of what panic disorder is.
- Be able to recognise panic disorder in your clients or those you are supporting.
- Understand when you can help and when and where to refer; recognise the limits of what you can offer the sufferer.
About the host
Elaine Leonard is a qualified British Association of Counselling counsellor and supervisor and has extensive experience of working therapeutically with adults, couples, and children and young people in organisations, schools and in private practice across Yorkshire and Lancashire. Elaine is the Clinical lead at The Counselling & Family Centre
