Within my integrative, relational approach, I value each person’s uniqueness and their story, and the therapy relationship. I work with you to find the best way to enable your desired outcome, offering a safe and confidential place to do so.
Counselling may involve exploring your life journey or a single significant event and its impact. We may explore how to understand yourself more fully or how you could operate in your relationships to become more empowered. We may also look at how to increase opportunities for choice and contentment.
If you would like to discuss this further please feel free to by telephone or email. The first session is also an opportunity to talk further about what you may be looking for.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a level 4 Diploma in counselling and level 7 (postgraduate) diploma in Psychological Studies with over 20 years' experience. Prior to this I worked in several NHS hospitals across West Yorkshire and so have a particular understanding of this setting. I am also a registered member of BACP.
I have experience in a wide range of issues such as bereavement (including miscarriage, stillbirth and abortion), abuse, depression and anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and low self-esteem.
Areas of counselling I deal with
The sessions are £40 in LS16 and LS18 (with private car parking) and in Leeds City Centre and are usually weekly.
I offer weekday daytime and evening sessions in Cookridge (The Tower Clinic), as well as Horsforth (The Orchard Therapy Centre) and Leeds City Centre (Queen Street).
