Yvonne TWINE Registered MBACP
Hi, I'm Yvonne and I am a fully qualified counsellor offering professional, confidential counselling in the Stamford/Peterborough/Oakham areas.
There are times in our lives when we face challenges and difficulties.
The opinions and thoughts of well-meaning friends and family may add to our confusion and inability to think things through in a considered way.
We may find ourselves with relationship difficulties, having a stressful time at work, feeling anxious, low or depressed, facing health issues or making changes in our circumstances for various reasons and we would value the opportunity to explore our feelings, thoughts and decision making options in a non-judgemental setting.
The counselling relationship
The relationship between counsellor and client is unique. As trust is established it can become a productive relationship within which to explore the difficult situations you are facing.
I seek to work in a person-centred way ( so with you at the centre of the process) whilst also being aware of the impact your past may be having on your present. Our past often influences the way we behave now and it can be helpful to look at patterns in our relationships to enable us to make changes.
I offer confidential and professional counselling in a safe environment, where you can explore and express feelings and thoughts within this supportive counselling relationship.
Having space to talk, or to just sit and reflect, or the space and time to be creative with different materials can help you find ways to move forward in your situation.
Time and space to reflect
I believe that a person has the answers they need within themselves, but often can’t find them in the rush of daily life. By setting aside time and space to be heard and to reflect, I believe that together we can find these answers and ways to deal with difficulties or manage situations in a more helpful way
Where and when?
I can offer a variety of times, daytime and evening, and I am home-based with a calm, comfortable counselling room. There is parking and I am on a bus route from Peterborough to Stamford and Oakham to Stamford.
Please call me or email to find out more or discuss your requirements; I am more than happy to chat with you to see if counselling might be helpful for you. There is no obligation in a phone call or email or text!
During 2016 (from June to November) I am training as a Supervisor.
For my training I need supervisees! I am offering Supervision as a trainee supervisor for a reduced initial fee of £25 per hour for qualified counsellors (£37.50 for 1.5 hours per month) and £20 per hour for students (£30 per 1.5 hours per month).
