It is important that we give our selves 'permission' to have the time to look at what troubles us.
Life is not always easy, and sometimes a little support and understanding can go a long way. By providing a confidential place and secure relationship, you are able to reflect and explore the experiences and emotions that are troubling you. Counselling can seem an unnerving prospect, but it can be a life changing, positive experience. It only takes a few seconds of your life to step into the therapy room......
Is your well being challenged by anxiety, depression which is then is draining your self esteem and confidence?
I believe, if you can experience a safe grounded relationship underpinned by the be Person Centred Approach, challenging moments and issues can be addressed. The Person Centred Approach desires a counsellor to practice 'core conditions' that are necessary to build the relationship. Some of the conditions that I find extremely helpful in the relationship and I value highly are honesty, acceptance and being non judgmental. Being this way, has allowed clients liberating moments of clarity that has enabled them to make way along their desired path. It's amazing what can unfold when one is accepted as they stand and being able to think freely without the fear of being judged.
It might be unthinkable to to speak to family, friends or work colleagues about some things, but this time is for you; it's unique, professional and ethically bound to support you.
My thought; "counselling might be considered as temporary necessity"
My experience has been gained from the private and public sectors. These clients have brought a variety of issues to their sessions, including stress, bereavement, anxiety, depression, emotional distress, self-esteem, abuse and relationship issues.
