Yasmin Hussain MBACP/Clinical Supervisor
Hi, Welcome to my profile :)
I am a psychological therapist currently working for CAMHS-Bradford District Care NHS Trust.
I offer 1-1 therapy to Children,Young People and Adults.
I work collaboratively with a client to explore difficulties, look at possible options that will help the client to reach a solution in their therapy process and at their pace.
I have experience and positive outcomes working with presentations such as Anxiety, Anger, Depression, PND, OCD, Bereavement, Relationship issues, Self-harm, Substance Misuse, Stress, etc. I have facilitated short educational courses on mental health issues in the organisation I work.
I have experience of counselling in the voluntary sector for over 5 years. A Mental Health Practitioner in NHS, I work with private clientele, and offer clinical supervision to supervisees from a variety of health profession.
I am passionate about the work I do and find it very rewarding to see clients gain an improved awareness of their self, and become better empowered to reach their own solutions and work towards their full potential.
We all face difficulties at some time or other in our life. But when you are feeling vulnerable, its difficult to balance your thoughts to reach the solution that's best for you. Finding a non-judgmental, confidential setting where you would feel safe to talk about your difficulties, with an experienced Therapist who works alongside with you, will help make sense of any problems you may be experiencing.
Would you sit at home with a broken arm?
Why would you see a mental health difficulty any different?
Our past/current experiences can affect our thinking, feelings and behaviour. When we are overwhelmed it is a struggle to find balance in our lives. If we carry on without seeking support, this can lead to problems with both our mental and physical health such as anxiety, stress, depression, anger issues, low self- esteem, loneliness and relationship problems.
Counselling provides a space in which to explore these and other issues, enabling you to acknowledge the impact of events, either current or past, recognise the emotions that these have caused and consequently understand any response.
In order to provide an ethical, professional, effective service, I am committed to continued Personal and Professional development, a member of BACP and adhere to their code of practice and ethics, in line with all qualified counsellors I undertake regular monthly supervision.
