The Women's Health Information and Support Centre (WHISC) is a Liverpool based charity supported by the Big Lottery Fund and public donations.
At Whisc, we aim to improve the health and well-being of women through providing FREE information and support. Whisc is fortunate in being able to offer 6 sessions of FREE one-to-one Person-Centred Counselling to women over the age of 18 years. Sessions are one hour in duration.
Our team of female counsellors are all members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). They are either fully qualified counsellors or counsellors who are in the latter stages of their training. All counsellors work under the direction of the counselling coordinator at Whisc and management.
To refer in you can contact us for a referral form either by emailing us or calling us, you can be referred by your gp, employer or external agency.
Training, qualifications & experience
All qualified counsellors are trained to Level 4 Diploma in counselling or above
Student Counselors are on a recognised training course and are at a level of their training where they are competent to work with clients.

We operate during our core hours which are;
Monday - 10 am -4 pm
Tuesday -10 am -4 pm
Wednesday - 10 am - 3 pm
Friday - 10 am - 2 pm
