I have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist in private practice for the past 25 years. This has brought me into contact with people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures who have sought help for many reasons. These include anxiety and/or depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss, anger and stress, or sometimes people are not sure why they feel low and dissatisfied with life. Most people find talking to a trained professional therapist a helpful one, enabling them to make changes in their lives.
I provide counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space, and work with individuals on an open-ended or short-term basis.
You can contact me by email or telephone. If appropriate, we can arrange an initial meeting, usually taking place over two 50 minute sessions, ideally a week apart. This allows time for an in-depth exploration of your reasons for seeking help and allows us to get a sense of whether this way of working is likely to benefit you.
Training, qualifications & experience
My first psychological training was in systemic therapy and I gained a Diploma in Systemic Therapy in 1989.
I then went on to train as a psychoanalytic/psychodynamic therapist at AGIP and qualified in 2001. I am registered with UKCP.
I am also registered and accredited with BACP.
