About me

I am a Counselling Psychologist and offer face to face appointment as well as remote therapy via Zoom or Whatsapp.

I am happy to work with all types of clients including children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. In addition I offer counselling in schools. Depending on the issues a client brings, I use a range of therapeutic approaches in my work, including CBT, counselling, assertiveness training and schema therapy.

My aim is to help people feel better and to live more satisfying, fulfilled lives. At the first appointment we will discuss the issues you want to be helped with, I will say how I think I can help you and how many sessions I think you will need. I usually have a short-term approach, with most clients needing six sessions or less, although this is very flexible.I treat people for depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, relationship difficulties, work-related problems, confidence issues, fear and phobias, anger problems, loss and bereavement, parenting problems and difficulties arising from being an abuse victim.

Having experienced the fallout from a narcissistic relationship myself I now also specialise in treating clients who have been groomed as adults or who have been in a narcissistic relationship.

I am a regular guest psychologist on Talk TV as well as a freelance writer for magazines and newspapers, including Good Housekeeping, Happiful, Metro and Cosmopolitan  and have appeared on ITV Daybreak. I also have a You Tube Channel, "The Wendy House". See one of my videos at:
