About me

I can offer you a safe space to talk within an accepting, warm, empathic environment, where I hope you can feel heard and understood. My nine years' experience as a counsellor includes working with clients in private practice, NHS, Education and the Voluntary Sector. I am a registered member of both COSCA and BACP and follow their ethical standards and codes of practice. Short-term or longer term counselling can be provided.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Diploma in Counselling, University of the Highlands and Islands, Moray College (2013)
  • Alcohol Focus Scotland Addiction Counselling Training (2007)
  • BSc. Human Nutrition & Dietetics, Queens College, Glasgow Caledonian University (1990)

I have over 9 years experience as a person-centred counsellor.

In addition to having a private practice, I have worked with clients referred from a GP practice, college students, clients struggling with addiction at Moray Council on Addiction (Elgin) and ADS (Stranraer).

Prior to counselling, I have experience working in Learner Support in Moray College, as a teacher in Secondary Education, a Health Promotion Officer in NHS Fife and working with people with disabilities for Enable and Key Housing.
