Jacqueline Mills Counselling and Psychotherapy
11 Park Road
Hello, welcome, thank you for taking time to find out about my practice.
Choosing to engage in counselling is very personal. To help you make the decision which is right for you I would like to tell you about my counselling.
I am an experienced, fully trained therapist in the person-centred approach. Within the person-centred approach all human beings are treated as individuals and with dignity and respect. I work in a non-directive style and believe that each human being has within him or herself the right to choose the direction that is best for them, you are the expert on yourself.
The approach believes that feeling heard and really understood can help a person to find their own solutions and to find answers that are right for them.
Whilst I remain person centred, I have also trained further in other methods and use other strategies alongside the person centred.
I have been privileged in working with clients who have sought help and support for a wide range of issues including anxiety, panic attacks, depression, relationship difficulties and bereavement issues. I have also worked with survivors of abuse. I work with young people in my practice and I have experience of working with major companies seeking support for their employees, in work related and personal issues.
I am a fully qualified children and young person's counsellor, employed by Relate Coventry. I have experience of working within CAMHs the NHS mental health service for children and young people in Coventry. I work with a wide variety of young clients both in school and in the community I have worked with complex and long term issues as well as more immediate concerns.
I work from conveniently situated, welcoming rooms in Moseley, Birmingham.
I am happy to meet with you daytimes or evenings. If you choose to come to see me, I will support you to uncover what is meaningful to you, and help you to decide upon the positive changes that you want to make in your life.
Thank you for taking time to learn about me and how I work, please contact me with any questions about your issues, I look forward to hearing from you.
