I have invaluable experience working with different aspects of personal and emotional difficulties and a diverse group of clients and with issues such as rape and sexual abuse, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, bereavement, chronic illness and disability and prescribed drug dependency and withdrawal. I offer a warm, non-judgemental therapeutic space where clients are able to share their concerns, knowing they are safe. As an integrative therapist, my client's uniqueness is always acknowledged and therapy will therefore be tailored specifically to your needs and circumstances.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Master's degree in Integrative Counselling and have also been trained in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, Therapeutic Use of Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Suicide, Rape and Sexual Abuse, Chemical Dependency, Internet Addiction and Stress Management.
I also have more than a decade's experience working with individuals who have been affected by dependency and withdrawal from benzodiazepine tranquillisers, similar acting z-drugs and antidepressants, and I am the author of "Recovery and Renewal", the internationally successfully self-help book on the subject.
Much of my work is done via telephone and Skype, serving clients who are disabled, housebound and unable to travel, and those who prefer this way of communicating.
