About me

We experience new challenges at different times in our lives. Some life events can interrupt our being and trigger sadness, pain and confusion. None of us is protected from painful and traumatic life experiences; however, despite how hopeless it feels, giving yourself a chance to feel better is important. Psychotherapy is an opportunity to look at your life, better understand your inner world, and find new, healthier ways to cope with everyday challenges and painful past experiences and traumas.

I am a qualified psychotherapist and a registered member (055197) of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), whose code of ethics and complaints procedure I abide by, and with the British Psychological Society (BPS), whose code of ethics and complaints procedure I comply with.

I offer weekday, evening and Saturday appointments. I hold two spaces at the reduced fee to work long-term with someone who would otherwise not be able to access therapy due to their financial situation.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • 2023 - (currently studying) DCPsych Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy by Professional Studies, Metanoia Institute, Middlesex University
  • 2022  MSc Psychology, University of Greenwich, London
  • 2018 - MBT (Mentalization Based Therapy) training at IPTT Lambeth, SLAM NHS Foundation Trust
  • 2014 - BA (Hons) In Counselling, University of Greenwich, London
  • 2013 - HE Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, University of Surrey.

Alongside my private practice, I have held an honorary psychotherapist post for five years at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM), where I worked with individuals diagnosed with BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) and experienced other types of issues, such as depression, anxiety and interpersonal difficulties.

I adhere to the BACP code of ethics and framework for good practice, have professional indemnity insurance with a creditable insurer, and attend regular supervision to assist my ongoing professional development.

Languages: English and Lithuanian.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
