About me

When feeling disoriented and troubled, the stable support of someone on our side can help to bring clarity. Together, we will engage with your deepest worries and explore ways of dealing with them.

I am a fully qualified and UKCP-accredited therapist, practising in the Baker Street area of London. I also offer sessions online.

I provide short-term counselling or open-ended psychotherapy for individuals and couples both online and in person. I have experience of working with a variety of issues, including stress and anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, ADHD/ADD, osbessive thoughts, relationship and sexuality-related difficulties, loneliness and loss of direction in life. I follow an integrative approach which draws on different therapeutic models to suit the specific needs and personality of each client or couple.

If you wish to know more about me and the way I can be of service to you, you are most welcome to visit my website and contact me.

Please feel free also to read my article on intimacy, which I published on this Counselling Directory (see below). Hopefully, you will find it useful.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I gained my accreditation after completing 5 years of training - a foundation course followed by a 4-year PG diploma course in Counselling and Psychotherapy, at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London.

I have undergone further training at the CCPE and have been awarded a Diploma in Couple Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I also hold a Certificate in Psychosexual Studies from the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships.

My therapy sessions follow the standards of good practice regulated by the UKCP’s Ethical Principles and Code of Professional Conduct.

During my training and in my private practice I have gained experience in my areas of interest and specialism by working short-term and long-term with people coming from the most varied social and cultural background.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
