Dr Victoria Uwannah | CPsychol, PsychD | Chartered Counselling Psychologist
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, trained at the University of Surrey, with a passion for helping people along their journey of self-discovery, wellbeing and health. I run a private clinic - Liberty Therapies in the centre of Reading, and my ethos is that regardless of the limitations and restrictions that life sometimes throws at us, we can work at being the best possible version of ourselves. Sometimes that may mean reaching out for a helping hand, and that is what I aim to do.
In my practice I can appreciate that when you approach therapy you may have specific needs which you need help with, or you may be confused as to exactly what kind of help is needed, and that's ok. I'm trained in a number of therapeutic modalities therefore I am able to tailor therapy with you in mind. I offer both short and long term therapy for help with a variety of issues.
A big misconception is that to seek therapy one must be mentally unwell, but this is not the case. Human distress in its number of forms is experienced by us all - whether that entails grieving loss of all kinds, building up self-confidence in new and scary situations or re-learning the art of communication in a broken relationship. There is no experience or feeling too small or too large that cannot be addressed in therapy, with someone who is objective, non-judgemental and supportive. If this sounds like the type of therapy you are looking for, please feel free to contact me for further information or to book an initial appointment. You can also find more information on my website: www.libertytherapies.com
I look forward to hearing from you.
