Victoria Snyman MBACP
Sometimes we feel stuck, or caught in negative patterns of thinking or we might experience unexplained feelings of unhappiness. These experiences can feel very real, but often the problem is more to do with perception - what we perceive about ourselves, and what we believe others think of us.
I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where clients bring concerns that might be troubling them. Using an integrative approach to counselling I hope to help make real and lasting changes to their lives. My integrative approach to counselling includes Psychodynamic, CBT, Gestalt, Systemic Family Therapy and 'Inner Child' Therapeutic Work.
I see people of all different ages and backgrounds who come to counselling for a variety of reasons. My special interests lie in Relationship Issues, Depression and Anxiety, Addictions and Eating Disorders (including Anorexia, Bulimia and Overeating).
If you are interested in working with me we would book an initial session to discuss your individual needs and whether we would be able to work together. Thereafter, sessions are 50 minutes long at the same time each week, or as often as you are able to come. I offer both short-term and open-ended work.
I am a Registered Counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their code of Ethics. I also work as a corporate counsellor in the Private Sector offering One-on-One counselling, training and workshops to groups and teams.
