I am a qualified Counsellor offering a compassionate, confidential and supportive therapeutic service to Adults and Adolescents.

I believe that we have the capacity and potential to live a fulfilled life but sometimes we experience a ‘stuckness’ individually, or in our relationships. Clients often come to counselling having felt stuck for longer than they can remember, and perhaps seeking support for the first time. It takes great courage to get to this point. You may come to counselling finding it difficult or even painful to name the problem. The feeling “that something is just not quite right” is often where we start on our journey together.

How I can help

As your counsellor, I am here to develop trust, offer acceptance, empathically listen without judgment, and help you experience a deeper understanding of your feelings (or absence of them). I help you move towards greater independence and encourage personal responsibility. Through working collaboratively the counselling process will help relieve your distress as you gain awareness, and find new ways of looking at your situation.

How I work

I respond to each client in an individual way. I am non-directive and take a holistic view of my clients, encouraging wholeness of experience. Together, we will explore your unique personal struggle in a safe and confidential way.

Location

I work from a counselling studio in Wormley in a confidential and peaceful setting. Parking available.

I sometimes use creative methods to explore feelings, and may offer these to encourage connection with emotions; however, my clients are always free to choose and I follow their pace and direction in every session.

I have an Art/Pastoral Educational background of over 20 years and have previously run Therapeutic Art Workshops for Adults, Adolescents and Children.

I am passionate about promoting confidence, resilience and self care in teenagers and supporting them through adolescence.

I also offer online and walk and talk therapy.

Weekly sessions are 50 minutes

Fees

£65 per session

Intake session (30 minutes) £35

This is a non obligation opportunity for us to meet and to hear what is troubling you. We can ascertain whether I am the right person to work with you, and if you would like to proceed.

Cancellation Fee

Please let me know as soon as possible if you can't make the session. Cancellations without 3 working days notice will incur a £35 charge.

I am fully insured, DBS checked and a registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. (MBACP) Accreditation eligible. I work within the guidelines of The Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. A qualified Supervisor regularly supervises my work.

General Data Protection Regulations

Any personal contact information that you give me shall only be used to make contact with you when required by text, email or post. A GDPR consent form and our working agreement will be signed in our intake session. All personal information (including any written notes) are kept securely for 7 years following the end of therapy, at which time all notes and contact details will be securely destroyed. None of your personal information will be shared with a third party, by me, or for marketing purposes.
