About me

You may be considering counselling for many different reasons. Perhaps you are suffering from depression or anxiety, or feeling devastated following the ending of a relationship. But you may not have any one specific reason, more a nagging sense of emptiness in your life and a difficulty in feeling emotionally connected to others.

I am a fully-trained counsellor experienced in working with a wide range of issues. I provide a warm, safe, confidential space where you can be really heard and understood. This in turn will  enable you to explore painful and difficult feelings, secure in the knowledge that  I will empathise with you and not be judgemental.  This can lead to a new self-awareness, enabling you to break away from old patterns of behaviour and facilitate change and growth so you can lead a more fulfilled life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BACP-accredited Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Therapy.

I am a fully accredited member of the BACP and abide by their Code of Ethics.

In addition to my private practice I also work as a psychotherapist in a large NHS teaching hospital, and have worked in a GP practice.

I originally trained as a pharmacist and worked in both community and hospital pharmacy for over twenty-five years.
