About me

Welcome.

I offer time away from demands and dissatisfaction felt within your relationships, in work and daily life; space to tell your story, in your own way and to reflect on what it means.

Counselling can help connect you to your own natural ability to relax and fulfill your potential in life.

Whether it be a small voice inside you saying there is a different way of seeing your life or whether raw emotion or numbness are the spark for you to take the first step to seeking help beyond your present experience, I offer a warm and supportive space where you will be listened to in confidence and without judgement.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have over 20 years experience of assisting people going through difficult times.

I am a qualified counsellor and have completed my FdSc. in counselling. I am a fully registered member of BACP.

I have also furthered my learning through CPD trainings, which have included a variety of issues around relationship in work and daily life, pregnancy, anger management, self harm, suicide, terminal illness, depression, addiction, mental health, emotional physical and sexual abuse, loss and bereavement.

I have a private practice working with young people and adults around very varied issues including difficulties within relationships, low self esteem, depression, abuse issues, bereavement, pregnancy issues and terminal illness.

I currently work at Penny Brohn UK, counselling people experiencing cancer.

I am also the supporting counsellor working with SIL (Shadow into Light) which assists bereaved people through the medium of Creative Art and Writing.

I was at Cruse Bereavement Care for over 11 years, which included counselling bereaved people, becoming a Cruse Bereavement supervisor and I assisted with teaching new volunteer counsellors.

I worked at Marie Stopes International for 5 years as a telephone and face to face counsellor, which included client's concerns around abortion, pregnancy, abuse, self esteem and difficulties in relationships.

I also have over 20 years experience running non denominational meditation and relaxation classes which benefits my client work
