What does counselling mean to you?
You may have never considered talking to a counsellor before, so what does seeing a counsellor mean and how could it help you?
There are many different approaches to counselling and its important you choose to work with a counsellor in a way you are comfortable with. I work with people face to face in a counselling room which offers a professional and private space for you to explore how your feeling .We will work together for approximately 8-10 weeks ,some people prefer less time and some people longer ,so to make sure you are comfortable we will agree what works for you as we work together.
There are many different reasons why people choose counselling you could be experiencing :
This isn’t a complete list ,and you may be feeling unsure of why you feel unsettled , panicking or just not yourself ,but you do feel it may help you to talk to someone .There is no obligation to work with me if you call the Tower Clinic ,so if you’re unsure please ring and we can discuss any questions you have together.
I work as a Person Centered Counsellor, what does this mean?
I believe that we are all born with the tools we need to understand what works best for us, so we can develop and grow as a person, and deal with what life, and relationships with those around us brings along. As life becomes more hectic and demanding, we can all sometimes lose sight of what we need to be at our best for ourselves and others, we can forget to give ourselves time and space so we can put ourselves back to the center of our decisions, which can be confusing and difficult to see clearly what we need to do, and what we truly want.
How would we work together?
Our work together will offer you a safe and confidential space to explore and rediscover your tools, and how you may want to use them to work through the situation, or relationships that are important to you.
