Hi, my name is Trina.
I am available to counsel short or long term, adults and teenagers over the age of 16. Areas I work with include Anxiety, Relationship issues, Depression, Panic Attacks, PTSD, Easting Disorders, self-harm and more which are listed under ‘areas of counselling'; If what you are looking for is not listed please feel free to call, as sometimes issues overlap and we can discuss what help you are looking for.
Counselling is a journey which is travelled together, the pace and duration is set in collaboration with you, with regular reviews to ensure that you can monitor the pace and identify possible areas you wish to work with; because we are all individuals with different life experiences and goals.
Like many, I have had my own difficult life experiences from which I have learned from. This I feel helps me to reach out to others in their time of need. Starting Counselling can feel daunting here is some basic steps to help you:
You can call,or email me to set up an initial session, messages will be responded to asap; then we can talk about what you want to get out of counselling; if you are happy to continue we'll set up a second session, and will arrange to see you then for example to meet weekly/fortnightly

Once you have made contact with me, we can discuss when to meet for an initial session. During this session we will discuss what brings you to Counselling, your hopes and expectations, and how it will work in practice.
Ultimately, this is an opportunity for us both to decide whether it seems appropriate for us to work together at this time. The cost of this session is £20.
All sessions are 1 hour, of which 10 minutes will be admin e.g. organising appointments.
My aim is to encourage and support you in whatever area you wish to explore or talk about, in a safe,
non-judgemental environment. Having been trained as an Integrative counsellor means brings with it the flexibility to work in different ways to suit individual styles.
Psychodynamic: Looking at childhood and how patterns formed in childhood may be affecting life in the present.
Creatively: Using more creative interventions for people who find exploring issues with visual and hand on experience easier than traditional talking therapy.
It is advised to be aware that counselling is a process it is not a quick fix because of this It is more beneficial if set up on a regular appointment, but as a counsellor I understand at times life does not allow for regular commitments and we can discuss this at the initial meeting.
If you have any further questions then do not hesitate to contact me, or note down to discuss when we first meet.
