Tricia McNamee BA (Hons), Registered Member MBACP
Persistent sadness..anxiety interrupting daily life...lack of confidence...sleepless nights...anger...feeling lost...life is feeling unmanageable...you are not alone..
Hi my name's Tricia and I understand how difficult life can be sometimes. I am a warm, empathic, non- judgemental, Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I am a registered member of the BACP and listed on their voluntary accredited register.
I offer safe, confidential short and long term counselling. I work with adults and young people.
I am an integratively trained counsellor who works from a humanstic base of warmth, empathy, respect and non judgement. I value the importance of building a collaborative working relationship with you while working at your pace. I use a variety of contemporary counselling concepts in my work and draw from Mindfulness Techniques , Solution Focused therapy and trauma counselling when working with sexual violence and abuse. I am a creative counsellor and have found that sometimes art work, journaling and imagery helpful in expressing and exploring your current circumstances. However above all of these things I recognise the diversity and uniqueness of every person and tailor my approach accordingly.
Healing and recovery is possible life can be different and in our work together I hope to provide a safe space where greater insight is had, self empowerment realised and you feel equipped with the tools to live the life you want.
Sometimes the hardest part of the counselling journey is believing you are worthy of the trip....counselling can seem daunting but I believe you are worthy of the trip.
