Whatever your reason for counselling or if you just want to talk, I am here to listen.
I am a qualified Person Centred and Integrative therapist. I work in an eclectic way, which means I take elements from different models, it is the combination of directive and non-directive counselling, this means that I will work with you to ensure we find the most effective way forward for you.

I work in Private Practice, EAP organisations - local and away, I also work with Families.
SINCERE, NOT EVASIVE
Seeing a Counsellor for the first time can be scary, but that first step is so important for you, I am assuming what you are dealing with is or has been a lot worse.
I take an open, compassionate and respectful approach to your counselling. We can talk about all of the difficulties that you cannot talk about elsewhere. And we’ll go at your pace.
Counselling is your decision and your's alone.
Counselling is not about fixing you, your partner or your family member, but discussing and working through your problems with you, if that is what you want, I CANNOT tell you what to do.
A Wide range of experience working with those whom have had dilemma's with -
*Bereavement & Loss/Child Loss
*Low Self Esteem
*Anxiety & Depression
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
I can arrange to have an informal chat with you over the phone if you feel unsure or have any questions - without any obligation on your part at all. If you then decide you would like to meet with me, an appointment can be arranged usually within the same week.
HOW LONG DOES EACH APPOINTMENT LAST?
All appointments are for a full hour.
HOW MANY APPOINTMENTS WILL I NEED?
Although this varies, I recommend between 4 - 6 appointments followed by a review of how you feel things are going.
Some clients decide to continue for longer following the review and according to individual circumstances.... but there is never an obligation to continue at any time.
WHAT IF I AM UNSURE?
If you are unsure about committing to regular appointments but still need to talk, it may be helpful to have an appointment and then contact me at a later date, if/when you feel ready to meet again.
I offer sessions, all individuals MUST be in agreement if they WISH to attend.

This poem by Theodore Roszak (1981) sums up what I aim to offer as a counsellor:
You and I….
we meet as strangers, each carrying a mystery within us.
I cannot say who you are; I may never know you completely.
But I trust you are a person in your own right, possessed of a
beauty and value that are the Earth's richest treasures.
So I make this promise to you:
I will impose no identities upon you, but will invite you to become
yourself without shame or fear.
I will hold open a space for you in the world and defend your
right to fill it with an authentic vocation.
For as long as your search takes, you have my loyalty.
