Tracy Barber (MBACP) (Dip. NLPt)

I am an integrative therapist which means I draw upon different approaches to psychotherapy as well as drawing on my own personal life experiences to help support you. I will do my very best to fit into your model of the world, not try to get you to fit into mine. I approach my work with the belief that one size does not fit all - we all have needs that are best understood and appreciated from those with a diverse blend of knowledge and experience.
My background is Neuro Linguistic Psychotherapy (NLP) which is short-term and goal oriented. I work holistically which means I consider every aspect of my client's life. I am drawn not just to the mind but also the physical body and how the two connect. Our physical body can provide us with many answers to what goes on in our mind, especially in the case of physical trauma.
I am also a qualified yoga teacher and may, with your permission, use some asanas (postures) to assist in the healing process. Breath work is a given with my clients - I will teach you how to connect to your breath so you can regain control of your life, especially when anxiety arises. Through our work together, you will learn new strategies to deal with life outside of the therapy room.
I divide my time between corporate clients, private clients and the voluntary sector. Working with such a diverse group of personalities and problems has expanded my appreciation for and experience in the human being. So many differences but with one ultimate intention - to find peace and happiness.
I look forward to working with you.
