Tracey Revell MBACP
My role as your therapist is to build up a good therapeutic relationship and environment, which will allow you
to achieve your goals and to work towards solving your problems. I will provide you with a caring, trusting, safe environment. An environment where you will feel able to talk freely, about whatever is causing you problems in your life.
Throughout my counselling career I have worked with many people dealing with many challenging situations. I am a Person-Centred Therapist and also have an Advanced Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Practice . This enables me to draw on two types of therapy, depending on my clients' needs. For instance, some clients prefer a less- directive form of therapy. While other clients prefer a more challenging, more directive form of therapy. All counselling can help, so together we will find the best therapy to suit you.
So whatever the problem, whether it might be depression, anxiety, relationship problems or maybe low self esteem, just give me a call or drop me an email and we can arrange your free no obligation initial consultation.
Training, qualifications & experience
I gained my Diploma in Counselling from Middlesex University in 2006. At this time I set up a Counselling service for survivors of Domestic Violence at a Metropolitan police station. I also worked at a charitable agency in Kings Cross, London. Clients presented with various issues including, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, confusion around sexual identity, marital problems and low self-esteem to name but a few. After these roles, I opened my own private practice in Harrow, Middlesex. Here I worked with many clients with various issues and challenges. It was during this time I obtained an Advanced Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Person-Centred Therapists from Warwick University In 2009.
Now I live in Chesham, Buckinghamshire and have a practice here, conveniently located on the Metropolitan line. There is also free off street parking. The practice is very privately located.
I am a member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their code of practice.
I have a BACP certificate of proficency
