About me

I am a COSRT accredited psychosexual therapist and relationship counsellor. I offer sex therapy, couples counselling and relationship therapy for individuals based in Canterbury and online. I work with couples and individuals on a wide range of relationship and sexual issues. Relationships can at times be a great source of distress and anxiety; sometimes it’s easy to feel stuck and unable to move forwards. You may be having difficulties with communication, infidelity, intimacy, sexual difficulties, or perhaps you just can’t seem to get along anymore and you’re not sure why. Whether you are experiencing difficulties within your relationship, or find it difficult to form lasting relationships, counselling can give you the space you need to explore and understand these issues.

I provide a safe and non-judgemental environment for you to discuss and think about the issues that you would like to address. Counselling can help you to see the recurring patterns that underpin your relationships and understand the interactions between you and your partner. It is an opportunity to think about how you fit together as a couple and through this understanding form a more intimate and closer relationship.

Sex therapy will involve an assessment of the sexual issue, including any associated medical factors. Common issues are:

  • Low desire/differences in desire in a couple
  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • Premature Ejaculation
  • Delayed Ejaculation
  • Painful intercourse
  • Vaginismus
  • Sex addiction

I also offer single-session therapy or shorter term therapy as well as ongoing therapy sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Psychosexual Therapist and Psychodynamic Relationship Counsellor based in Canterbury. I also have an established private practice in Shoreditch (East London Relationship Therapy) as well as a practice in Canterbury. I trained at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships, a leading institute in the field of relationship therapy, where I also have an MSc in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy (UEL).

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and an Accredited member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).

I work with individuals and couples of all backgrounds and welcome LGBTQIA clients.

I am able to offer online therapy if you are not able to attend in person.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

COSRT
College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)

COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.

All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
