Tracey Billham - MBACP (Accred) Counselling for Individuals and Couples
Thank you you for viewing my page. I have been working as counsellor and psychotherapist for fourteen years.
If you are here reading my page then I am guessing you may need some help with the problems and issues that you are experiencing or have experienced. My level of expertise is working with couples or individuals who are having relationship issues. These issues may include things like an affair, loss of feelings, difficulty with communication, direction, expectations, not feeling understood or respected, sex, alcohol, trust, confusion and many other issues. I work with heterosexual and same sex couples.
It is not unusual for relationships to run into some form of problems and difficulties, in my counselling practice I provide a safe, non judgemental environment which we can use to talk and work through the issues you are finding difficult to cope with.
Counselling can help us to make sense of your thoughts and feelings and it offers a space for you to be heard, if you come together with your partner it gives them a better understanding of what life is like for you, equally it can help you understand your partner. The aim can be to find harmony together or to develop an amicable relationship to help with separation. It may be that you would prefer to attend without your partner or your partner will not come to counselling, relationship counselling can still be useful and beneficial even when you attend individually.
Clients do not always know at the beginning of the counselling what their goals might be, this is very normal and we can explore to find what an achievable resolution may be or look like.
My role is to explore the issues with you and I can help you to find and make positive changes. Often clients have a feeling of being stuck and need help and support with moving forward.
I also work with individual clients who present a very varied and wide range of issues. These can include problems such as bereavement, anxiety, worry, self worth, which can be overwhelming and block us from seeing a clear direction, future or outcome. Talking together through these issues will enable change and happiness.
