Tony Capon BA MBACP (Accred)
White Hart Lane
As a Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor in Basingstoke, Hampshire, I have successfully supported people with a wide range of difficulties impacting upon their lives such as work stress, family or relationship based anxieties, feeling depressed or lacking self-esteem, sexual difficulties, phobias and historic trauma. For more information about the areas I can support you with please do feel free to get in touch.
My aim is always to work with you in a tailored way to ensure that you feel you're getting the most out of each session. Using a friendly and relaxed, yet encouraging approach I can help to facilitate the changes you want to see in your life.
For those who may be looking for a more directive or 'solution-focussed' style of therapeutic experience, I am trained in a type of therapy called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which is designed to help specifically explore negative thought patterns and behaviours with a view to reducing their impact on your life. Please enquire for further information regarding this type of therapy and I shall be happy to answer any questions you may have.
During our initial session together we'll look at what type of therapy helps you feel most comfortable and productive. Whether this is open-ended 'exploration' type sessions where we discuss thoughts and feelings on topics as they naturally arise; or alternatively through more structured sessions with set topics and agendas each week for us to work on - I'll always look at what works for you as a unique individual.
If you have any questions or would like to arrange an initial appointment to explore working together, please do get in touch and I'll be pleased to hear from you.
