Tom Grealy Registered MBACP Experienced Individual's and Couples Counsellor
154 Westbourne Avenue
I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor with a broad range of counselling experience over 20 years, working with individual adults and couples providing both short-term and long-term face to face counselling.
I offer an Integrated, Person-Centred therapeutic approach providing individuals and couples with a warm, accepting and genuine environment in which they can explore issues, clarify choices and make decisions. I provide a confidential therapeutic service in a safe and comfortable environment with understanding, acceptance and support for individuals and couples who find themselves in a difficult situation because they are, for whatever reason, unable to think clearly or resolve their situation themselves. There are times in our lives when we need support to face current difficulties, or to talk though issues from the past. Deciding to start counselling can be a brave act, and working with the right counsellor can enable us to face those aspects of ourselves that we might have feared, and which have perhaps caused us profound unhappiness in our lives.
My aim is that through counselling you will achieve greater control of your life. In gaining some understanding of your inner world, I can help facilitate a period of acceptance and change by enabling you to talk about emotional difficulties and periods of crisis.
Within the past 20 years I have supported people who have worked on a wide range of issues. These have included;
- Low self esteem
- Identity crisis
- Relationship issues/ marriage breakdown
- Sexuality issues
- Disability issues
- Loss, bereavement, dying
- Work and career related issues
- Loss of meaning or direction
- LGBT issues
Please feel free to contact me if you feel I can be of help.
