Whatever your reason for coming to see me I aim to offer you the opportunity to talk freely, without fear of judgement, and to really be heard. Often in every day life we we are only half listened to and the other person sees our situation from their own perspective. When we are truly heard by someone who strives to understand our unique view point it somehow allows us to better understand ourselves. A comment I often hear from clients is "I didn't know I felt that way...."
The more aware and honest we can be with ourselves about our feelings the more they begin to make sense. Facing and resolving strong negative feelings can lead to an increase in confidence and self-esteem which can help to ease anxiety, depression and stress.
Anger is a feeling that we often deny either through childhood conditioning or because it doesn't seem socially acceptable. Understanding that it is simply a part of a range of normal human emotions and practising safe and acceptable techniques for expressing it is a large part of anger management.
Of course you may simply have a complicated situation in your life that you want to talk through, you may have suffered a bereavement, be experiencing relationship difficulties or you may alternatively wish to experience the kind of personal development that comes from understanding yourself better. I offer a safe, confidential space to express yourself whatever your particular concern and I would welcome the opportunity to work with you.
