Thea Hudson MA UKCP Registered Psychotherapist
Wood Street Wellbeing
10 Wood Street
I am an experienced UKCP registered therapist, offering counselling and psychotherapy (brief or long term) to adult individuals, plus supervision to individuals and groups. My consulting room is pleasant and peaceful, within a Wellbeing Centre that provides a range of complementary and talking therapies.
The model of therapy I work with is user friendly and effective, tailored to individual needs, and with manageable goals for change. Within this, I offer a relationship that is collaborative, respectful and compassionate.
Psychotherapy is helpful for a wide range of problems such as anxiety, depression, stress, major life crises e.g. divorce/separation, eating disorders, understanding addiction, managing obsessive behaviours, coming to terms with bereavement, relationship problems, and many more.
Work is aimed at identifying current problems and how they affect your life and wellbeing. In addition, we consider together the underlying causes, in terms of your earlier life and relationships. We will discover choices and exits that are available to you to make your life better for yourself, and for those close to you.
Before concluding our work, we will find out how you can continue to move forwards after your therapy ends.
One of the aims of therapy is to ensure that you feel better able to support yourself once our work is completed, so that you have a 'therapeutic toolbox' to draw on if or when necessary. This helps you to maintain the changes that have been achieved in the course of our work together.
