The Kingsford Centre is a private counselling and therapy centre set in peaceful, rural surroundings near to Colchester town with free parking.
The issues of well-being and general support are growing rapidly, due in no small part to the current global economic climate. There are more pressures on people than ever before, whether in the workplace or at home; hence there is a real, tangible need for an empathic, confidential and safe environment where people can come to talk, be taken seriously and, most importantly, be listened to. There are no 'quick fixes', but through our counsellors, we can help you explore your current situation and help you make choices for the future.
Life crises happen to us all at some stage in our lives. Wherever you work, and whichever stage of life you are at, counselling can be beneficial to your overall health.
Good health, in its widest sense, impacts on many aspects of our lives: family relationships, friends, performance at work, sickness levels, mental health, and perhaps just managing to get through each day. There is no need to store everything up - sometimes it really is best to talk and you may not feel confident to confide in a friend or relative.
Our counsellors are all BACP members(British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) or UKCP registered. Some are themselves supervisors in their field and all are professional, approachable, and above all, non-judgemental.
Training, qualifications & experience
All of our therapists are professionally trained and accredited by the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) UKCP (UK Council of Psychotherapists) and HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
We are all committed to working in a professional, ethical way and to providing you, the client, with a safe, caring, boundaried environment in which to explore those issues that trouble you.
Our therapists work according to a variety of therapeutic models including person centred, psycho-analytical attachment, EFT, transpersonal, gestalt, and psychodynamic. If you decide to contact us we will endeavour to find the therapist and type of therapy that best suits your needs.
We are also able to provide clinical supervision for trained counsellors.
