I am here to help by providing a warm, friendly counselling service. I am professional qualified and widely experienced. If you are worried about something then I can help you to gain some clarity into your thoughts and feelings. I provide a safe, confidential and peaceful place to explore whatever is on your mind. I will not be advising or judging you. There may be more options open to you than you think and we can talk them through bringing you to your own answers and insights.
Please think about contacting me for counselling if you are feeling
- anxious or panicky
- sad or depressed
- angry, irritable or jealous
- confused or can't cope
- suffering bereavement or loss
- have relationship issues
Whatever the problem, we will work together to enable you to reflect on what has happened or is happening to you. We could look at options for acceptance or change, and find out what you really want. So then you can move on to a happier future.
I adhere to the ethical guidelines and other requirements of my professional association, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. This is important as it provides reassurance to clients that the confidential service I provide stays within tight professional boundaries so that you have complete peace of mind.
What to expect
If you do decide to contact me we will agree a convenient time for our first session. Then you can tell me as little or as much as you want on that day, and we will take it from there. We will talk and work together as equals, so please do not be put off if you find the idea of counselling a bit daunting at first. I have a private, comfortable, warm and airy counselling room offering a quiet safe space to talk. Take time to step away from everyday stresses to a calm place allowing you to think, feel, and talk in peace.
I use an integrative approach which means I combine a range of counselling therapies tailoring them for each individual client.
Maybe you will want to look back at your life to gain insight into what has happened so far and why you are feeling as you do. Or you might want to talk about what is happening now and consider options for acceptance or change so that you can look forward to a happier future. If you wish, we can also look ahead to discover how you would like your life to be and work towards that.
We will discuss how we work together so that our sessions suit your individual needs.
I offer daytime and evening appointments.
