Suzie Baker (MSc. MBACP reg.)
I am a professionally qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have been seeing clients through a number of organisations for several years. I am experienced in working with a wide range of issues, personalities and ages and see clients from 13 years and up.
Everyone experiences difficult times at some point in their lives and sometimes we need a space to talk and work through those difficulties. Counselling is an opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential and supportive environment with someone who is trained to help. Everyone is different and every experience is different; I like to help people understand what has got them to this point and then help them to look at ways they can make changes to benefit their lives.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing current difficulties or wanting to work things through from the past. You may be feeling low or anxious and not even know why. You may even just want a space to feel supported and heard. Therapy is not simply about responding to crisis but also about self and life exploration. Sometimes it can feel easier to talk things through with someone external to family and friends.
As an Integrative practitioner I understand every person’s uniqueness and draw upon the three main theories of psychotherapy: psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive behavioural whilst incorporating ideas of Existential Philosophy.
My counselling practice is located in central Horsham. There is accessible parking and it is a short walking distance from the train station and bus routes.
Please contact me to discuss any queries or to book an initial consultation.

We would meet for an initial consultation to discuss what has brought you along and what would be the best way forward. Some people decide to come for a few sessions while others choose to attend on an open-ended basis. This is something we would discuss in the first meeting. If we decide to proceed with counselling the sessions are once weekly and last 50 minutes.
I charge £35 for the initial consultation and £40 per session.
