Profile

Based in North Manchester (close to the City Centre, Media City, Prestwich, Swinton and Worsley), I have daytime and evening slots available. 

I've been in Private Practice since 2008 and have worked with people to resolve many problems such as anxiety, depression, anger management issues, bereavement, weight issues, relationship challenges and abuse. 

I have experience and interest in working with people who suffered childhood sexual abuse, adoption, family relationship issues and weight related issues.

I have seen clients from ages 18 to 87! 
I run individual, couple, family and Group sessions (Group sessions currently Monday evenings).

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I trained for 4 years (480 hours) at The Manchester Institute of Psychotherapy, gaining a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy.  I am a Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.  I am working towards a Certified Transactional Analyst qualification, which I aim to complete in 2013.

My Private Practice started in 2008, and I have seen clients for a few sessions or over a longer period to assist them in making their desired life changes.

I work from home in the Pendlebury area of Swinton, 15 minutes drive from Manchester, near the M602, M60, M61 and M62 motorway network and less than 10 minutes drive from Media City.

Fees

I offer an initial free no-obligation 30 minute session for us both to decide if we could work together.

My hourly rate is £35 for a individual session.  But I offer discounted rates to people who are currently unemployed, students, OAPs or those on benefits.  For Couple, Family or Group sessions, rates are upon application.

I can work on a short-term goal-focussed approach or on a longer-term contract depending on your requirements.

I have slots available on Mon, Tues and Weds evenings, plus Weds and Friday daytimes.

Further Information

My passion for helping others making positive life changes stems from my own desires and sucess at dealing with emotional difficulties I had related to my adoption as a child. 

I have been in therapy myself since 2006, and have made powerful lasting changes with regard to my self-esteem, relationships and stress levels. 

I believe in the benefits of Counselling & Psychotherapy and am proud to have trained to practice in this area.
