Why consider counselling
You may be in a place where life feels a struggle, where your feelings and circumstances are causing you distress, which can leave you feeling overwhelmed and have an impact on you and your relationships.
My aim is to offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where you feel comfortable to talk about your troubles and anxieties.
Talking through your worries with someone who is impartial can help you to make sense of painful feelings, see things differently and give you the confidence and empowerment to make alternative choices in your life.
My approach to counselling originates from my psychodynamic training. This means when we talk about and explore your current issues it can uncover how past experiences and relationships can inform how you feel and experience things in the present.
I work alongside you so we can gain insight into how you think about situations and people, or perhaps repeat patterns of behaviour, thus gaining an understanding of what maybe causing you distress or not be working for you in your life. This greater understanding of yourself and how you relate to others can give you the confidence to consider making positive sustainable changes in your life.
Counselling offers the opportunity to resolve relationship issues, manage anxiety and depression, work through trauma and sort out painful experiences.
Counselling can be challenging and making changes in your life can be difficult and sometimes scary too, so it is essential that you feel we can work together.
With this in mind I offer an initial appointment of up to 90 minutes which allows us time to talk about your troubles and if I am the right counsellor for your needs. You can call me on 07795 346706 or email me on the link to set up the appointment.
I provide both short term and long term counselling.
